Tijdens de Dutch Stocking Party op 10 oktober j.l. werd er een expositie gehouden door tekenaar Frans van der Star met ditmaal de nylonkous als onderwerp in zijn tekeningen. De getoonde exemplaren mogen allen gerust bijzonder genoemd worden en geven een extra dimensie. Daarnaast was er ook ander werk uit zijn brede verzameling te bewonderen. Frans werkt vanuit eigen initiatief en inspiratie maar ook in opdracht. Last weekend there was in Cologne (Germany) the first edition of the Cologne Stocking Party (CSP). The DSA was represented ver well with a high number of Dutch couples. After a very friendly welcome we first started with a walk through the historical centre of Cologne.
All women were wearing Fully Fashioned Stockings of course during this round. This weekend Cologne was fully in the mood of the Christopher Street Parade which gave the whole area a unique atmosphere. The evening started with a wonderful diner and after that the real evening of the Cologne Stocking Party could start. It became a unique happening on a terrace on top of the hotel under a sky full of stars, together with friendly and spontaneous people. It became late that night, very late….. but how else could it be during a warm summer night and control of the Dom-tower.

Next morning after the breakfast we vistited the colourfull Gay-Pride parade in the centre of the city. Again a special event where it was good to see that people could express themselves in a open and spontaneous way in relation to their inner feelings.
In short: the first edition of the CSP can be stated as a great success and we never would had miss it.

Afgelopen zondag 23 november 2008 werd voor de eerste maal een fotografie workshop gehouden voor liefhebbers van de DSA. Gezien de spontane reactie en resultaten van deze dag mag het een groot succes genoemd worden.
Het accent lag op model- glamour- en portretfotografie. Tijdens de workshop was er ondermeer aandacht voor de volgende onderwerpen:
*Sturen van het model
*Poses
*Toepassen van licht
*Achtergronden
*Visagiework voor de dames, inclusief make-up
Een gebeurtenis om met plezier naar terug te kijken en voor herhaling vatbaar.
