The choice of heel for your authentic stockings is primarily determined by your personal preference and the occasion you are wearing them for. The two most common types are the point heel and the Cuban heel. The same rule applies here: we are providing guidelines, but don’t be afraid to mix and match differently!

Nylon stockings with a Point Heel Stockings with a point heel are perfect for wearing with stiletto heels, creating a sort of mirror image. The point of the stocking points upwards, while the heel of the shoe points downwards. When looking at the (lower) leg, this creates an elongating effect and adds extra flair.

The Cuban Heel The second variant is the Cuban heel. This style was highly popular from around 1930 to 1960 and pairs well with a slightly wider or heavier shoe heel. It is a classic variation, but certainly no less elegant. Besides the Cuban heel, there is also the Havana heel, which is wider.
